Yoga Classes
Yoga Hale located in Kona on Hawaii's Big Island, offers 1-2 instructed classes per day, 7 days per week.
Yoga Hale is happy to announce a new class - Ashtanga Yoga. Ashtanga Yoga is offered on Wednesday mornings and features Ashtanga series level 1 postures and some level 2 postures. This class is taught with a compassionate instructor with many years of Ashtanga Yoga knowledge. This new class offers a great workout with Ashtanga fundamentals and plenty of upper body work. This practice focuses on the Bandahs and keeping the body injured free. This class is perfect for yoga students of any level.
Other classes offered at Yoga Hale include a 30- Minute Meditation. This session is a relaxing and stress reducing experience.
Hot style yoga or just plain Hot Yoga, utilizes state-of-the-art infrared heaters with ionicair purifying heaters. These Hot Yoga sessions mostly consist of static poses, longer holds, and specific breathing exercises.
Vinyasa style yoga is a mixture of Iyengar, Ashtanga with subtleties from the Anyasura philosophy. Vinyasa Flow Yoga employs the technique of "connecting postures", but does not use the six series of postures specific to the Mysore Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system. It is taught with constant movement or flow, and slightly shorter holds utilizing a specific breathing technique.
Furthermore, we offer Yin Yang Yoga, which is taught partially on the floor holding postures for 3-5 minutes. The class begins with a light hatha yoga flow with sun salutations to warm the body in preparation for static, on the floor stretches-posture that allow the body to soften the connective tissues to allow the old stagnant out and the new softness in. Each class is followed by a 30-minute meditation session.
